Research Objectives: To inform the audience about the unique healthcare needs of the native americans
Design: A review of the data concerning the location of tribes, the number of clinics that care for the tribes, and the healthcare data concerning morbidity and mortality relative to other minorities in North America
Setting: The setting is the North American Tribes of the continental US and Alaska
Participants: Data will reflect all native americans
Interventions: There was no intervention
Main Outcome Measures: Outomes are data concerning health including mortality and morbidity
Results: Lifespan, morbidity, and infectious and noninfectious diseases contributing to morbidity and mortality. The morbidity that is behavioural that can be altered
Conclusions: The Native Americans are the minority that have the worst health, the lowest expected lifespan of any minority in North America. This study will awaken awareness of this "Shadow Minority"
