This symposium offers a unique opportunity for clinical professionals to engage with research and industry professionals from the rehabilitation technology field to understand the evidence supporting the use of VR and AR technologies for neurorehabilitation in-clinic and in the home and community. Clinical evidence for use of distinct VR and AR technologies will be presented in didactic lecture. This will be followed by hands-on demonstration of commercially available examples of each technology. Attendees will develop a better understanding of the theoretical background, research evidence, and application basics of these VR and AR technologies following completion of this symposium.

Learning Objectives:

• Upon completion, participant will be able to identify two emerging VR/AR technologies that can be used as adjuncts to standard neurorehabilitation.
• Upon completion, participant will be able to explain the clinical applicability of emerging VR/AR technologies.
• Upon completion, participant will be able to explain the theoretical principles and research evidence underlying the use of two emerging VR/AR technologies.
• Upon completion, participant will be able to describe 3 potential applications of emerging VR/AR technologies for neurorehabilitation.
