The symposium aims to finalize Appropriate Use Recommendations (AUR) for Cognitive Telerehabilitation in Parkinson's Disease (PD). The Parkinsonism and Related Disorders Task Force (PRDTF) conducted a SWOT analysis and drafted recommendations. The symposium will involve interactive discussions on non-consensus recommendations, seeking input to modify or add new recommendations, shaping the final AUR to provide clinical guidance on optimal implementation of digital technologies for cognitive rehabilitation via telehealth for the growing PD with cognitive impairment population.

Learning Objectives:

  • Upon completion, participants will be able to describe the process used to develop the Appropriate Use Recommendations (AUR) for Cognitive Telerehabilitation in Parkinson's Disease (PD), including the preliminary SWOT analysis, expert review, and consensus survey.
  • Upon completion, participants will be able to evaluate the recommendations from the survey and provide input on modifying or adding new recommendations for the implementation of cognitive telerehabilitation in individuals with PD.
  • Upon completion, participants will be able to explain the implications of the finalized AUR, including the strengths and opportunities of cognitive telerehabilitation, as well as potential concerns and gaps in the evidence base that need to be addressed.
  • Upon completion, participants will be able to describe the process used to develop the Appropriate Use Recommendations (AUR) for Cognitive Telerehabilitation in Parkinson's Disease (PD), including the preliminary SWOT analysis, expert review, and consensus survey.
