This symposium will discuss the correlation between the impact of self-care and mobility status at the time of discharge from an inpatient rehabilitation hospital and perception of patient reported physical and mental health outcomes for individuals with acquired brain injury (ABI). The importance of addressing the relationship between clinician-rated functional status, demographic variables, co-morbidities, and patient-reported outcomes following inpatient rehabilitation will be examined. Further, the models that predict patient’s perception of significant physical and mental health on functioning will be highlighted.

• Identify the importance of clinician and patient-reported outcomes to be used in inpatient rehabilitation
• Define the correlation between clinician-related functional status in the areas of self-care and mobility and patient''s perception of physical and mental health
