There is an array of educational material available to families and caregivers of severe brain injury who experience Disorders of Consciousness (DoC), but it is difficult to find information that is accurate and easy to navigate. Over the past nine years, the ACRM-BI-ISIG: DoC Task Force, Family Education Subcommittee developed a freely-available centralized resource that includes family-focused DoC educational materials from existing resources that have been organized and vetted by key stakeholders. This symposium will be an update on the status of this project and family education resource product. Presenters will do a walk-through of the current website to promote awareness, disseminatation and use in everyday practice as a tool for providing education and training to DoC family caregivers. Consideration of methods to ensure long-term sustainability of the website, including systematic review of content to update resources and information as clinical care and research for persons with DoC evolves.
