Adaptive intervention design is a novel approach to developing and implementing interventions that take into account the unique needs of individual student participants. The proposed symposia will describe how utilizing a fulsome co-design process and innovative methodological approaches such as integrated knowledge translation (iKT) and experiential learning can foster meaningful patient involvement and ultimately, lead to more user-centric, sustainable and coordinated delivery models. With this approach, efforts and resources across several conditions can be pooled, thereby increasing efficient in our program delivery to achieve greater impact and sustainability.

Learning Objectives:

• Explain how our research team developed and delivered a personalized approach to personalized mobility programming for individuals with physical disabilities across the neurological spectrum.
• Identify how to integrate co-design and experiential learning into intervention research and identify the facilitators and barriers to implementation.
• Explore how these novel approaches to intervention design could be applied to into attendees respective contexts.
