This panel presentation will provide researchers and clinicians with current information surrounding burn treatment and rehabilitation planning across the rehabilitation continuum. Shared knowledge of burn rehabilitation and integration interventions  in rehabilitation medicine may influence rehabilitation, treatment planning and community reintegration outcomes following burn injury.

Learning Objectives:

  • Upon completion, participants will be able to identify barriers and facilitators associated with community reintegration and employment following burn injury.
  • Upon completion, participants will be able to describe patient and family centered interdisciplinary treatment team approaches that facilitate and support successful rehabilitation and community integration outcomes following burn injuries.
  • Upon completion, participants will be able to identify rehabilitation interventions for survivors of burn injury to promote return to community and employment.
  • Upon completion, participants will be able to describe strategies to identify individual community and employment resources to support successful community and employment re-integration
