Environmental toxins may contribute to the pathology of neurodegenerative diseases through various mechanisms. In this 60-minute symposium, we discuss why exposure to environmental toxins is a public health crisis that is highly relevant to rehabilitation medicine, current evidence linking environmental toxins to neurodegenerative disease risk and progression and provide an example on ongoing research.
