We will review our experience with the logical challenges and successes of starting a successful Vivistim Program. We will review the indication for the treatment, lessons learned from coordinating with therapists and neurosurgeons, and our successes so far after 2+ years of establishing the program.

Recognize the indication for Vivistim (vagus nerve stimulation technology) in treating chronic post-stroke upper limb weakness.
Accurately identify potential patients who would likely benefit from Vivistim technology.
Appreciate the financial considerations and logistics of coordinating surgical implantation.
Identify the anticipated outcomes for patients post-implantation and therapies.
