In my presentation, I attempted to treat the subject with supplementary motor area stroke including a cognitive decline and attention deficit by using visual motor imagery training. The visual motor imagery training consisted of 2 steps. Firstly, the subject was shown three 20-second videos which showed motor actions of the hand grasping, hand rotation, and reaching and gripping a ball. After this, the subject attempted to execute these motor actions physically and then, to execute reaching and gripping actions to objects with my kinesthetic support. Recently, previous studies introduced how is the way of activating supplementary motor area by visual motor imagery. Also, many previous studies researched the brain mechanism of integrated multiple sensory information to execute reaching gripping actions. Therefore, I would like to discuss the mechanism of integration of multiple sensory information to execute reaching and gripping actions in supplementary motor area by using visual motor imagery training.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion, participants will be able to discuss the function of the supplementary motor area associated with the visual motor imagery training.
Upon completion, participants will be able to discuss the best way to undertake motor imagery training because motor imagery training still has many points for improvement.
Upon completion, participants will be able to discuss how to use visual motor imagery training in rehabilitation for their patients who have not only paralysis but also other issues.
Upon completion, participants will be able to integrate many ideas on motor imagery training by sharing our opinion in this congress in order to build a better way of motor imagery training in rehabilitation for patients with stroke.
