Cancer profoundly impacts millions of Americans, with lifestyle factors like poor physical activity, social isolation, and stress influencing treatment outcomes. The six pillars of lifestyle medicine include nutrition, physical activity, sleep, stress management, substance avoidance, and social connection, all of which can play a pivotal role in the management of cancer side effects and cancer prevention. By embracing lifestyle medicine principles, the multidisciplinary care team can apply a holistic, person-centered, comprehensive care model to addressing the needs of an ever-expanding population of cancer survivors.

• Recognize the pillars of lifestyle medicine as delineated in the American College of Lifestyle Medicine
• Review evidence-based interventions in lifestyle medicine
• Discuss challenges and opportunities for implementation of lifestyle medicine interventions in the oncology setting
