Occupational Therapist

Michelle Scheffler, OTR, MOT, is currently a PhD candidate (occupational therapy) at Texas Woman’s University. She is also a senior research occupational therapist at Houston Methodist Research Institute. She received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of St. Thomas and a Master of Occupational Therapy from Texas Woman’s University. She is expected to complete a PhD in occupational therapy in 2024. Her research interests include executive function in young stroke survivors as well as restoration and management of upper extremity impairments in adults with neurologic conditions. She is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association and the Texas Occupational Therapy Association.
