Mandi Sonnenfeld, PhD, MOT, OTR/L has been a licensed occupational therapist for over 20 years and has been committed to ensuring high-quality clinical care across a variety of health care settings. She is a second-year Health Professions Education Evaluation and Research (HPEER) advanced post-doctoral fellow at the Center for Innovations in Quality, Effectiveness, and Safety (IQuESt) in the Michael E. DeBakey Medical Center and a previous Delivery System Science Fellow (DSSF) with Academy Health. She currently works on projects focused on improving health care system delivery within the VA both locally and nationwide. Programs include the VA National Telestroke Program, lung cancer screening within the local VA Lung Precision Oncology Program (LPOP), and the VA Quality Scholars program where she assists with process evaluation, education, and national guideline reporting. Her interests include implementation science methodology, quality improvement, and operations research related to health outcomes. She is a leader in advancing high-quality health service education and delivery.
