Dr. Qiu, holding a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Hangzhou Institute of Technology, an M.S. from the University of Southern California, and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, has led the fusion of virtual reality with rehabilitation. Her innovations, including the development of the NJIT Robotic Assisted Virtual Rehabilitation (NJIT-RAVR) and TrackGlove systems, have been pivotal in advancing the field and supporting over 150 patients since 2007. In 2020, Dr. Qiu co-founded NeuroTechR3, taking on the role of Chief Science Officer to pioneer affordable, personalized rehabilitation solutions for brain injury patients. Her academic and professional achievements underscore her commitment to harnessing technology for rehabilitation, significantly enhancing accessibility and quality of patient care.
