Aswen is a medical student in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ottawa. He graduated from an Honours Bachelor of Health Science with an advanced minor in French as a Second Language at the University of Ottawa in 2021. Aswen has worked as a Research Assistant at the Bruyère Research Institute since 2023 and is currently leading and supporting a research project in collaboration with uOttawa, Carleton University, and the Mayo Clinic. Aswen's research is related to understanding the ways in which the burden of disease and disability affects individuals from a patient, healthcare and societal perspective, and striving for ways to alleviate these burdens to improve population health.
