3rd Year Medical Student pursuing PM&R. Currently serving as a NTV TBI Research Intern in Dr.Bushnik's lab at NYU Rusk Rehabilitation. Valerie has presented numerous posters at professional conferences. Her enthusiasm for research and education is evident in her role as a Senior Mentor at Futures Forward Research Institute, where she advises and inspires aspiring medical researchers. Valerie continues to strive for success in both her academic and professional activities as she pursues her specialization in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Outside of research, Valerie was awarded the AACOM Gold Touch Award for her dedication to community involvement in line with osteopathic ideals. Outside of academia, she enjoys volunteering at Special Olympics events and local marathons, working out, reading fiction, and painting.
