Emmanuel Adehunoluwa received a bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation (Physiotherapy) degree from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria and a master of science degree in Applied Cognition and Neuroscience from the University of Texas at Dallas. He is licensed to practice physical therapy in Nigeria where he worked for three years across various rehabilitation settings. Emmanuel is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Systems and Cellular Neuroscience at the University of Texas at Dallas and will graduate in 2025. His dissertation is focused on promoting recovery from stroke and spinal cord injury by pairing physical rehabilitation with vagus nerve stimulation. In the past three years, he has been part of a clinical trial team, evaluating the safety and feasibility of a novel vagus nerve stimulation device.
