Dr. Baird is an Associate Professor at the Institute for Insight at Georgia State University. He conducts research in the areas of health analytics, AI for business, and health IT. He received the Faculty Recognition Award for Distinguished Contributions in Research from the Robinson College of Business in 2023 and is a Distinguished Member Cum Laude of the Association for Information Systems. His work appears in journals such as MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, the Journal of Management Information Systems, the Journal of the Association for Information Systems, JAMIA Open, Health Care Management Review, and the Journal of Medical Internet Research. Industry collaborations have included: CDC, Shepherd Center, WellStar Health System, Mayo Clinic, and Pruitt Health. Dr. Baird is the Director of the 2CI Health Analytics and Health IT Cluster at RCB and is a Research Associate for the Center for Digital Innovation (CDIN).
