Joseph J. Krzak, PT, PhD, PCS is a Professor in the Physical Therapy Program at Midwestern University, Downers Grove, IL and a Physical Therapist in the Motion Analysis Center (MAC) Shriners Children’s in Chicago. He is a licensed Physical Therapist in the State of Illinois and a Board Certified Specialist in Pediatric Physical Therapy (PCS) by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS). Dr. Krzak received his Bachelor of Science (BS) in Physical Therapy, University of Illinois at Chicago in 2000 and his Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Kinesiology, Nutrition, and Rehabilitation with an emphasis in musculoskeletal biomechanics and motor control at University of Illinois at Chicago in 2013. His clinical and clinical research goals are to: 1) use novel quantitative methods to explain why children with developmental disabilities move differently than healthy individuals; and 2) develop and critically evaluate the effectiveness of surgical and therapeutic interventions to enhance functional mobility in children with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal disorders. Dr. Krzak is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), Academy of Pediatric Physical Therapy (APPT), Gait and Clinical Movement Analysis Society (GCMAS), and the American Academy of Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine (AACPDM). He is the APTA representative to the Commission for Motion Lab Accreditation (CMLA).
