Corporate Director Shriners Children's Motion Analysis Center
Shriners Children's
Currently, I am the Corporate Director of Shriners Children’s (SC) 14 Motion Analysis Centers (MAC). As Corporate Director of SC MACs, I am responsible for all clinical and research activities that occur throughout the Shriners system. Research areas of interest include sports medicine, scoliosis, spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, and brachial plexus injuries (BPI). I have 25expertise in both clinical care and research.
I have substantial experience leading multi-center project. Over the last 3 years, I have led the standardization of our 13 MACs to ensure continuity of clinical care, and ensure accessibilty of data for research. This year I oversaw the implementation of our standardized gait and sports models at all our MACs. By standardizing our models, we can now begin centralizing our data collection and storage. The standardized gait model was recently published in Gait & Posture (PMID: 38552301). I was also a co-leader in the development of the Sports model, which is posted on the Pediatric Research in Sports Medicine webpage. I have been involved in upper extremity research with Dr Kozin since 2006 and more recently with Dr Russo since 2014. We have multiple publications looking at outcomes of patients with BPI injuries, and recently completed two grants establishing the initial validation and utility of real-time feedback to measure reachable workspace in patients with BPI. I am an Executive Board member of Gait & Clinical Movement Analysis Society, collaborate on several multiple centered grants within the Shrine Hospital system and have co-authored over 55 publications.
