Dr. Yen received his entry-level physical therapy at Chung Shan Medical University in Taiwan. He earned a PhD in Pathokinesiology from New York University in 2010. He completed his postdoctoral fellowship in robotic rehabilitation at Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago/Northwestern University before joining Northeastern University as a faculty member. Dr. Yen’s research interests are in neuromechanics, motor control, and motor learning. He is also interested in outcome research using big data. His recent research focuses on understanding the etiology of chronic ankle instability using motion analysis and robotic approaches. He teaches kinesiology and research contents in the doctoral of physical therapy program.
