Personal Statement
I started my career in healthcare as a patient-facing social worker on the inpatient stroke service at Columbia University Medical Center in New York City. I then transitioned into the role of Patient Care Coordinator on the CUMC Inpatient Rehab Unit .
In 2009, I combined my years of clinical expereince and performance improvement to collaborate with UDSMR at their national conference to present on the unique challenges facing inpatient rehabilition patients returning to the community in an urban setting.
Currently, as the Mount Sinai Hospital Inpatient Rehabilitation Administrative Manager, I continue to contribute to the patient experience by providing data which helps to determine who will benefit most from our services and return to the community as well as what interventions the interdisciplinary team can use to help those on the cusp of going to an institutional setting get back into the community.
