Dave Arellano is a Ph.D. student in the Interdisciplinary Health Sciences program at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). He holds a BS and an MPH from UTEP. Dave is dedicated to educating and empowering individuals about preventable illnesses, including viral, bacterial, parasitic, and fungal infections. His current research focuses on emerging infectious fungal diseases such as Valley Fever (Coccidioidomycosis) and autoimmune disorders such as multiple sclerosis, and their impact on public health. Dave aims to enhance community health by addressing primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention strategies. He is committed to bridging gaps in access to medical services, resources, and health information, and connecting individuals with essential care.
