Dr. Katherine Brown is a certified Speech-Language Pathologist and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Augustana College. She completed her B.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders and Gerontology at Kansas State University, her M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology at Idaho State University, and her Ph.D. in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Washington. Dr. Brown is the director of the Neurogenic Cognitive-Communication Disorders Lab at Augustana College. The focus of the lab is to examine cognition and speech in individuals with neurogenic communication disorders, such as traumatic brain injury and Parkinson’s disease.
