Dr. Stuart Yablon is a distinguished physician board certified in Brain Injury Medicine and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. With over 150 publications to his name, Dr. Yablon has made significant contributions to the understanding and treatment of acquired brain injuries. His special interests lie in addressing complex neurobehavioral and neuromedical complications that arise from such injuries, including impaired consciousness, spasticity and related motor disorders, seizure disorders, and venous thromboembolic disease.
Dr. Yablon has a profound depth of experience in the non-traumatic acquired brain injury domain, particularly in caring for patients with hemorrhagic stroke and brain tumors. He joined Mary Free Bed in 2019, where he continues to apply his extensive knowledge and skills.
His academic foundation was laid at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, from where he graduated before completing his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey/New Jersey School of Medicine, now known as Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. There, he served as academic chief resident. Further honing his expertise, Dr. Yablon completed a Rehabilitation Research Career Development Fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine, specializing in brain injury rehabilitation.
