Dr. Leslie F Davidson is an Occupational Therapist who is an Associate Professor and Department Chair of Clinical Research and Leadership at The George Washington University Department of Clinical Research and Leadership in the School of Medicine and Health Sciences. She holds a PhD in Human Development from Virginia Tech, a Master of Science in Special Education from The Johns Hopkins University and a Master of Science from New York University in Occupational Therapy. Dr. Davidson has 30 years of experience as an occupational therapist, educator and researcher working in the area of functional cognition. Her work has primary been associated with service members who have experienced mild and moderate brain injury, their functional and role performance as well as the impact on families of such injuries. More recently, Dr. Davidson has explored similar performance and role changes secondary to age related cognitive decline. She is a qualitative and mixed methods researcher. Dr. Davidson has developed theoretical framework to inform family centered practice for brain injury recovery as well as ecologicaly valid dual task and multitask assessment development.
