Associate Professor
University of Pittsburgh
I am an Associate Professor specializing in biostatistics and the Director of the Integrated Biostatistics and Outcomes Research Lab at the University of Pittsburgh School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences (SHRS). Within SHRS, I serve as one of the biostatistical faculty members overseeing various aspects of data and statistical analysis for researchers, including study design, data management, data analysis, and statistical modeling. My research interests, both independent and collaborative, encompass a range of areas, including (1) biomedical and clinical research with a strong focus on study design and statistical analysis, (2) physiological data analytics, (3) electronic health record data mining, and (4) predictive modeling and machine learning in biomedical science. I earned my Ph.D. in biomedical science with a concentration in biostatistics, followed by postdoctoral training in biostatistics. Accumulating over eight years of research experience, my expertise spans various domains within biomedical and health outcomes research. I have contributed significantly to projects in biomedical and clinical research, including clinical trials and diverse observational studies, as well as health outcomes and biomarker research across multiple disciplines such as surgery, rehabilitation science, cardiology, infectious diseases, emergency medicine, neurology, and physiology. My work has been published in both medical and methodology-focused journals.
