Claire M. Bird, PhD, is a licensed Clinical Psychologist and research collaborator with the Trauma Research Center. Her research focus is on the intersection of trauma and health disparities, primarily among socially marginalized populations. Specific areas of research include psychosocial outcomes following traumatic injury, evidence-based treatments for PTSD, implementation science focused on interventions targeting social determinants of health and mental health disparities, racial discrimination, biological and physiological markers of stress and trauma. She received her Master’s and Doctoral degrees (Clinical Psychology) at Marquette University. Her Clinical Health Psychology APA-Accredited internship was completed at University of Pennsylvania, Perelman School of Medicine. She then completed her post-doctoral fellowship through Baylor Scott & White Medical Psychology Consultants in conjunction with the Baylor Scott & White Research Institute, Trauma Research Center, where she now works as a Clinical Psychologist and Co-Investigator on multiple RCTs and implementation science projects.
