Dr. David Taylor serves as Clinical Associate Professor and Director of Clinical Education in the Department of Physical Therapy, College of Health Professions, Mercer University, Atlanta, GA. He is a clinical expert in geriatric rehabilitation and age-related changes influencing mobility and safety. His current full-time teaching experience includes teaching the geriatrics course, coordinating and refining didactic and experiential courses in the DPT curriculum, and serving as a member of the curriculum committee. Dr. Taylor has established strong community relationships through clinical practice, academic teaching, and group memberships. He has been licensed as a physical therapist for 27 years, with the last 19 years focusing on older adults and is board certified as a clinical specialist in geriatric physical therapy (GCS) by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties since 2001.His teaching, research, and service at Mercer University are focused on health promotion and interprofessional education, specifically for older adults.
