Lead Clinical Research Coordinator

Bridget Xia is the Lead Clinical Research Coordinator for the REACH TBI study at the University of Virginia. She is also a Research Assistant for the Polytrauma Rehabilitation Center’s TBI Model Systems study with the Central Virginia VA Health Care System. Her research interests include TBI rehabilitation, family caregiving, social determinants of health, and adjustment to chronic health conditions. Prior to transitioning to research, Bridget provided assessments and treatments of neurogenic communication and swallowing disorders as a Speech-Language Pathologist and specialized in cognitive rehabilitation for individuals with acquired brain injury.
