Dr. Jennifer Penn, PT, DPT, is a board-certified neurological clinical specialist and an Associate Professor in the School of Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Penn received a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from Brigham Young University, a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California, and completed the University of Southern California/Rancho Los Amigos Neurological Physical Therapy Residency. She also completed the Emory Vestibular Rehabilitation Competency course. With over 19 years of experience in Outpatient Neurological Rehabilitation, Dr. Penn specializes in vestibular rehabilitation, concussion, and Parkinson’s disease. Her scholarship and service focus on improving access and outcomes for individuals with neurological injuries and exploring educational strategies to
optimize outcomes for future physical therapists. She is the recipient of two grants from the Parkinson’s Foundation aimed at exploring and overcoming barriers to optimal care in both rural and urban areas. Dr. Penn is an active member of the APTA, the Academy of Neurological Physical Therapy, and currently serves in the Vestibular Special Interest Group for online education
