Dr. Joanna Soles currently serves in the School of Rehabilitation Sciences in the role of Associate Professor and Clinical Education Coordinator for the graduate program in Athletic Training. She first joined UIW in 2015 and has taught across both the undergraduate Healthcare Sciences and
graduate Athletic Training curriculum. Her area of expertise is musculoskeletal and orthopedic anatomy and evaluation. Dr. Soles has been a certified athletic trainer for 23 years. She is certified in Graston, Fascial Distortion, Postural Restoration, and Stop the Bleed. She is involved in both the national and regional athletic training organizations and has served on a variety of professional committees, helping support and grow the athletic training profession. Dr. Soles has been involved in a variety of interprofessional initiatives and served for several years on UIW’s Interprofessional Initiatives Committee. Research interests of Dr. Soles include topics related to gait and mechanically induced pathologies, interprofessional healthcare, and therapeutic interventions. Currently, she is working with peers on a study comparing
