Rachael Kaufman, OTR/L, CBIS, PMP is an experienced Occupational Therapist and project management professional who currently works as the Dissemination and Implementation (D&I) Specialist for the Traumatic Brain Injury Center of Excellence (TBICoE). Her role includes the promotion of evidence into clinical practice focusing on the management of traumatic brain injury (TBI) in the military. Prior to fulfilling her role as the D&I Specialist, she was the neuro-rehabilitation subject matter expert on the Clinical Practice/Clinical Recommendations team helping to publish recommendations, tools, and TBI-related documents to optimize warfighter performance and return to duty. Before working for TBICoE she specialized in treating survivors of TBI across the continuum of care. Her clinical experience includes work in the neuro-intensive care unit along with inpatient rehabilitation and outpatient TBI clinics. Beyond TBI related clinical care, she also has expertise in treating individuals with neurological-based progressive diseases including being an LSVT BIG Certified Clinician, a Multiple Sclerosis Certified Specialist, and was chosen as a Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers rehabilitation fellow for the Cleveland Clinic.
