Italo Ribeiro Lemes is currently an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Health Sciences Albert Einstein (FICSAE) and at the Universidade Estadual Paulista "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" (UNESP), Presidente Prudente campus, and Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo ( FMUSP). He has a degree in Physical Education (2009), a degree in Physiotherapy (2012), a master's degree in Physiotherapy (2015), a PhD in Physiotherapy (2019), all from the Faculty of Science and Technology of UNESP (FCT/UNESP), and a specialization in Manual Therapy and Osteopathic Techniques. He is part of the research group Physical Activity: Health and Disease, and the Sports Physiotherapy Laboratory (LAFIDE), both at FCT/UNESP, and the Exercise Assessment and Prescription Laboratory (LAPE), at the Faculty of Sciences at UNESP (FC/ UNESP) from Bauru. During the Master's degree, he carried out a research internship at the University of Sydney, Australia, under the supervision of prof. Dr. Paulo Ferreira. During his PhD, he carried out a research internship at the University of South Carolina, United States, under the supervision of professor. Dr. Xuemei Sui and prof. Dr. Steven N. Blair. He completed a post-doctorate in the Postgraduate Program in Rehabilitation Sciences at the School of Physical Education, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy (EEFFTO), at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Rafael Zambelli Pinto.
