Christina M. del Toro, Ph.D., CCC-SLP, is a Professor in Speech-Language Pathology at Midwestern University where she teaches graduate students, conducts research, and participates in service activities. Dr. del Toro teaches courses on aphasia, research methods, and evidence-based practice. She regularly guest lectures on topics related to adult neurogenic language disorders for programs in the College of Health Sciences, College of Dental Medicine, and The Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. Her research is aimed at identifying effective treatment stimuli for word finding treatments in aphasia and developing tools to assist clinicians in treatment planning. She has presented her research at state and national conventions. Dr. Del Toro is a member of the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine, American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, Aphasia Access, and Illinois Speech-Language Hearing Association.
