Anne Deutsch has been conducting policy analyses and policy-relevant research for more than 25 years with funding from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the Assistant Secretary for Health and Human Services, the National Institute of Disability, Independent Living and Rehabilitation Research and National Institutes of Health. She led the development of the self-care and mobility quality measures that have been implemented by CMS in post-acute care quality reporting programs, and she was part of the team that developed the current Medicare inpatient rehabilitation prospective payment system.
