Dr. Knight is an Associate Professor and Director of Post Professional Education in the Department of Physical Therapy at Creighton University in Omaha, NE. She received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Creighton University in 2008 and completed the Kaiser Permanente Neurologic Residency Program in 2010. She has been a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Neurologic Physical Therapy (ABPTS) since 2011, was a Brain Injury Certified Specialist (CBIS) for 8 years, and practiced in the inpatient rehabilitation setting for 10 years before transitioning to outpatient and wellness services for people living with neurologic conditions. Dr. Knight has been involved in teaching concepts related to adult neurologic rehabilitation in entry-level and residency education for the past 10 years. She is actively engaged in the Academies of Neurologic Physical Therapy (ANPT) and Physical Therapy Education (APTE) with scholarship focused on blending neurologic PT practice with best practices in teaching and learning across the continuum of PT education. This has resulted in over 20 professional presentations at the regional or national level since 2016. Dr. Knight has also served on the ANPT Practice Committee for 9 years which includes 5 years as committee chair.
