Dr Engle is an Assistant Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Oncology at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She has expertise in Cancer Rehabilitation and primary research areas of interest include quality of life and function throughout the cancer continuum, the role of exercise in cancer prevention and treatment, muscle wasting and fall prevention.
Dr Engle completed her traditional osteopathic intern year in the Crozer system and her interest in caring for cancer patients grew when treating additional cancer patients during her physical medicine and rehabilitation residency. She then completed fellowship at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center where she focused on cancer and cancer treatment-related musculoskeletal and neurological side effects. After completing fellowship, Dr Engle served as a Staff Physician at Adventist Healthcare Rehabilitation where I focused on general rehabilitation and cancer rehabilitation.
Since joining Johns Hopkins in 2018, Dr Engle has expanded cancer rehabilitation services in Baltimore and the National Capital Region. She works with a multidisciplinary team to optimize quality of life and function in cancer survivors. Dr Engle has established collaborative relationships with practitioners across the Johns Hopkins Network and specialists in cancer rehabilitation across the nation.
