Dr. Marc Silva is a neuropsychologist and clinical researcher. He received his PhD in Counseling Psychology in 2011 and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology in 2013. Dr. Silva holds a joint appointment with the James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital and University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. His clinical and research interests focus on the impact of sleep on TBI rehabilitation outcomes. Dr. Silva is co-project director of the VA TBI Model Systems at the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital, and site PI for studies funded by the Department of Defense and National Institute of Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research. In 2023, Dr. Silva was awarded the Dr. Joshua B. Cantor Scholar Award for his research on chronic rehabilitation needs of Veterans and Active Duty Military Personnel with TBI. Dr. Silva also provides research mentorship to students and residents in medical and psychology training programs at the James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital.
