Rebecca Campbell-Montalvo, Ph.D. is a social scientist who serves as a Data Analyst at the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital and is an Assistant Professor in the Morsani College of Medicine department of Internal Medicine in the division of Emergency Medicine in the Social Medicine section. She has been a practicing anthropologist for the last decade in a range of areas, including public education, kidney disease treatment modality, opioid use disorder treatment programs, and Traumatic Brain Injury pre-implementation quality improvement work. She has authored or co-authored 21 peer-reviewed articles, published a book, and has 67 presentations at scientific meetings. She has served as PI or Co-PI on 3 grants funded by the National Science Foundation. From 2016-2024 she worked at the University of Connecticut, joining the University of South Florida in 2024; she has also worked for the U.S. Veterans Health Administration since 2021.
