Dr. Jessica Edelstein is an occupational therapist and early career scientist in the field of health services research, specializing in examining access to rehabilitation services and patient-centered outcomes. She completed her postdoctoral research fellowship at Colorado State University, earned a PhD in Health-Related Sciences at Virginia Commonwealth University, and holds a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Indianapolis. Dr. Edelstein’s research focuses on developing evidence-based rehabilitation service delivery models to enhance health care delivery and optimize patient-centered outcomes.
Currently, Dr. Edelstein is a Research Scientist I at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab and a Research Assistant Professor at Northwestern University. She is continuing to characterize the relationship between rehabilitation service delivery factors and patient-centered outcomes and starting to gain experience with implementation sciences. Dr. Edelstein is passionate about translating research findings into actionable policies and practices to drive positive chances in healthcare systems.
