Suyoung Kwon, PhD, MPH, RN, COHN-S, serves as a NIDILRR ARRT fellow at the University of Washington. Her primary research interests encompass employment, occupational health, working conditions, and health policy, with a particular focus on individuals with marginalized identities. Additionally, she holds the position of Health and Aging Policy fellow at the U.S. House Committee on Education and the Workforce, concentrating on health and human service policy issues, particularly those pertaining to older adults, the healthcare workforce, disability, and occupational health. Dr. Kwon earned her PhD in Nursing Science from the University of Washington, specializing in research on musculoskeletal disorders among workers in both the manufacturing and healthcare industries. Her previous experience as an occupational health nurse, coupled with certifications in ergonomics and industrial hygiene, was gained through work at US companies in Korea. In this capacity, she specialized in facilitating the return to work of individuals with injuries or illnesses.
