Dr. Molton is a rehabilitation psychologist by training, and a Professor in the department of Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Washington. His research work focuses on psychosocial factors at the intersection of aging and long-term physical and cognitive disability. He co-directs a NIDILRR funded postdoctoral fellowship in Disability and Health Policy at the University of Washington.
