Alta Fried is the Hand Therapy Director for the Atlantic Physical Therapy Center, which she joined after completing extensive training in the treatment of the hand and upper extremities. After graduating summa cum laude from Salus University in 2014, Alta went on to complete fellowship training at the prestigious Philadelphia Hand to Shoulder Center and has since completed over 4,000 hours in hand therapy practice to receive her Certification in Hand Therapy.
Additionally, Alta has presented at multiple national and international conferences and has published articles in multiple scientific journals including the journal of hand surgery, orthoplastic surgery
journal and more. Her training includes a wide variety of conditions, with a special interest in complex traumatic hand injuries.
Her passion for hand therapy was born after she suffered a severe degloving injury to her left hand from a rollover motor vehicle accident. It was during those grueling yet rewarding hand therapy sessions that Alta developed her love and passion for hand therapy. Now, she has devoted her career to hand therapy and helping patients in similar situations to her own.
