April Hodge is a practicing physical therapist. She graduated from the University of Utah with doctorate in physical therapy in 2005. In 2011, Dr. Hodge became certified as a Board Certified Neurology Specialist and became certified in dry needling in 2014. Her passion is vestibular rehab. From 2009 to 2023, she has served the Vestibular Rehab Special Interest Group (VR SIG) of the American Physical Therapy Association as the Communication Coordinator. She also has served on the VR SIG’s Online Education Committee, and completed a course on Vestibular Migraine and Meniere’s Disease for the ANPT’s Neuro Synapse. In 2014, she co-created a Neurology Special Interest Group for APTA GA where she served as Vice Chair and Chair. Dr. Hodge has lectured on the topics of vestibular rehab, concussion, and goal attainment scaling. Her current research involves the use of tDCS and exercise to address attention and memory disorders in patient with mTBI. Dr. Hodge currently works for the Shepherd Center in Atlanta, GA at the Complex Concussion Clinic. There she serves on a multidisciplinary team, which treats individuals with impairment post-concussion. Her goal is to assist in returning individuals to their communities by providing a holistic approach to chronic pain and vestibular impairment.
