Dr. Sumithra Murthy is a Visiting Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Disability and Human Development at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is a Mixed Methods Researcher with a strong research and practice background in disability, family support and caregiving for people with disabilities; health disparities; and culturally appropriate interventions and implementation. Her research interests include Caregiving and Family Support for People with Disabilities including Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities, Health and Healthcare Disparities, and Health Promotion. She strongly believes in contributing to improving the lives of those most impacted by social inequities through application of research findings.
