Laura Gilchrist PT, PhD is Professor and Endowed Chair of Health Education and Research at St. Catherine University. Her primary research is in the area of physical function and chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN) in people undergoing treatment for cancer. She currently has over 30 publications in oncology rehabilitation, focused on cancer-related physical impairments. In addition, she has been active with multiple projects aimed at improving the delivery of rehabilitation services to oncologic populations. Here she leads the development of clinical practice guidelines and other evidence-based practice documents for the Academy of Oncologic Physical Therapy of the American Physical Therapy Association and has published multiple systematic reviews and guidelines.
