Susan Wortman-Jutt, MS, CCC-SLP has been a speech-language pathologist at Burke Rehabilitation in the Outpatient Speech Department since 2006, where she treats adults with neurogenic communication disorders. Susan is the creator and facilitator of the Burke Intensive Comprehensive Aphasia Program (ICAP), a program for people with chronic aphasia due to stroke or brain injury. Susan worked as a Research Associate at Burke Neurological Institute where she was a site study coordinator and lead therapist on clinical trials for aphasia. Her review papers on aphasia and stroke recovery have been published in Stroke, Neurorehabilitation and Neural Repair and other peer review journals. She authored the 2016 animated TED talk, "Aphasia: The Disorder That Makes You Lose Your Words," which has been viewed over 1.3 million times.
