Vaishnavi Sridharan, M.Sc., is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Health and Kinesiology at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She works as a research assisstant at the Health Promotion and Rehabilitation Laboratory where she is actively involved in mentoring of undergraduate students and conducting two major lab projects including telehealth promotion of physically active lifestyle in people with multiple sclerosis and building an Artificial Intelligence driven chatbot (MintBot). She is dedicated to advancing the field of health promotion, mindfulness and resilience. Alongside, she has worked as a teaching assisatnt for various courses including health statistics and social science of human movement. She earned her M.Sc. in Sport and Exercise Psychology from Loughborough University, UK, where she focused on healthy lifestyle research and health promotion strategies. She has significant experience in providing support for athletes in India and UK, demonstrating her commitment to specialized rehabilitation. In addition to her academic pursuits, she is a certified mindfulness practitioner. She has facilitated mindfulness discussion groups for prison inmates through the Education for Justice Program, reflecting her passion for making mindfulness practices accessible to diverse populations.
