Susan Labhard, MSN, RN worked at Shriners Hospital-Portland, OR for 34 years and has been active in the field of Pediatrics since 1977. For 16 years, Labhard worked as Transitions Nurse Specialist heading the program to assist youth and their families transition to adulthood. She has a BS and MS in Nursing and a BS in Child Development/Family Relations. Susan is a seasoned national and international presenter and has published several articles in the field of transitions. Labhard is past chairperson of AACPDM-Lifespan Care Committee. Collaborating with the patient care team and community, Susan uses positive, creative, and evidence-based practices to promote a person-centered approach to care. Primary goal is to assist young adults affected by child-onset conditions to maximize their potential and improve their quality of life.
